Brine & Immersion Media Partner To Produce The Virtual Lacrosse Academy
Instructional CD-Rom Available In Stores In April
Milford, MA ...March 22, 2006... Brine, Inc. and Immersion Media have partnered to create an instructional lacrosse CD-ROM, The Virtual Lacrosse Academy. With the lacrosse expertise of Casey and Mikey Powell, The Virtual Lacrosse Academy offers aspiring lacrosse players a unique, 3D animation experience that features skills, drills, tricks and a game, all designed to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, engaging way.
The Virtual Lacrosse Academy was created to complement and introduce the Brine Method, a system that helps players find their game through an approach that relies on logic and technology. It includes equipment, programming and instruction to help both players and coaches find their game.
"The Virtual Lacrosse Academy CD-Rom is a great teaching tool for all young lacrosse players," said Casey Powell, co-creator of the CD-Rom and Brine Pro Player R&D Team member. "It covers the necessary fundamentals required to be a better player. It is fun, easy and educational."
An interactive CD-Rom, the Virtual Lacrosse Academy allows kids to navigate at their own pace and includes features like a "Virtual Casey" shooting an apple off Mikey's head; "Virtual Mikey" landing a Double Tornado; behind-the-scenes bloopers and much more.
"When we first got interested in creating a lacrosse training CD, we wanted to work with the best brand and the best people. We got both when we partnered with Brine and Casey and Mikey Powell," said Rick Perko, president of Immersion Media. "This is a really unique and fun product, and the power of Brine and the Powell brothers make us believe that this will set a new standard of excellence."
This is the first lacrosse training CD-Rom for both companies, although Brine and Immersion Media have partnered previously to create a soccer skills CD-Rom. The Virtual Lacrosse Academy will be available in specialty shops and sporting goods stores April 1, 2006.
